Thank you to all our good friends, lovely volunteer teachers, supportive parents and hard working pupils.
Our school started its summer holiday on 10th July 2017. Our new term will start on Sunday 17th September 2017. During this long summer holiday, we will run teacher’s training again. We will also try hard to do all the cleaning and tidying up to prepare for our new school year.
Please pay attention to our new term’s timetable. We have made some slight changes.
Cantonese school: All classes will start at 9.55 a.m. to line up. 10.00 a.m. pupils will go into the classrooms. 12.25 p.m. The Cantonese classes will end.
Mandarin school: All classes will start at 1.00 to line up. 1.05 p.m. pupils will go into the classrooms. 3.30 p.m. Mandarin classes will end.
Note: Parents have welcomed the new earlier finish time, especially in winter.
Cultural classes will run as normal and remain free of charge:
1) Chinese children’s dance classes (They will perform during school celebrations)
2) Little children singing and dancing classes
3) Chinese painting with Chinese brushes
4) Chinese paper cutting
5) Chinese toy and model making
6) Chinese kung fu/ self defence
7) Eleven plus examination tutorials for Mathematics, English and Sciences
8) Abacus and Mathematics for GCSE and A levels
All of these classes are only for our school’s pupils. If there are vacancies, we will accept other children to join us.
Age: From four years old.
Classes: Infant classes, Primary school classes up to GCSE examination class
Languages: Cantonese and traditional characters or Mandarin and Simplified characters
Teacher’s qualifications: All of the teachers in our school work as volunteers. They have professional experience and have obtained degrees in Mainland China or Hong Kong.
Safeguarding training: On Sunday 28th May 2017, all of our thirty nine teachers and young volunteer team received safeguarding training. They all passed the training and received certificates.
